Serving since 1948, we are committed to protecting the community of Malta and the surrounding districts in Saratoga County as well as providing disaster relief wherever the call for help goes out.
Our Mission
Charged with the safety of the Town of Malta and the surround municipalities, the Malta Ridge Volunteer Fire Company (MRVFC) is comprised of just over 60 volunteers, less than 0.4% of the town residents. They are men and women who will be there at the scene of your car accident, show up in the middle of the night if your fire or carbon monoxide alarm goes off, or help put out the fire that threatens your property and the lives of those in your family. Responding to 508 calls last year, there are many other reasons they may be called on, but these are just a few examples.
Our Training
Committed to perfecting our craft, we drill weekly on Wednesday nights and Friday mornings to hone our firefighting skills. Here is a list of a few of the skills we practice.
Live-Fire Firefighting
Vehicle Extrication and Stabilization
